Whenever possible, we recommend scheduling service calls during normal business hours to help keep costs lower. However, we understand that extreme temperatures can quickly become uncomfortable or even unsafe, which is why our team is available whenever you need us most.
• How long does it typically take to get service?

  Our goal is to schedule most service calls within 24 hours. During periods of high demand, appointment availability may vary, but we always do our best to get to you as quickly as possible. • How much does an HVAC repair cost?

  Every repair is different, and costs depend on the nature of the problem and any parts required. We charge a $69 diagnostic fee during normal business hours for one of our technicians to visit your home, diagnose the issue, and provide repair quotes. Most common repairs typically range from $300–$500, though costs can vary depending on the complexity of the repair. Authority Comfort Club members save more on repairs, helping lower the cost when unexpected issues arise. Our service vehicles are fully equipped with professional tools and a large inventory of parts, allowing us to complete most repairs during the first visit.
• How often should HVAC equipment be serviced?

  Most manufacturers recommend getting maintenance done once per year for each piece of HVAC equipment. Regular maintenance helps improve efficiency, reduce breakdowns, extend equipment life, and maintain warranty requirements. • Why is it hotter upstairs than downstairs?

  First, hot air naturally rises while cooler air settles toward lower levels of the home. Even with a properly functioning HVAC system, upper floors will typically be warmer than lower floors. Second, many homes in Utah have HVAC equipment located in the basement or lower levels. Because the upstairs rooms are farther from the equipment, it can be more difficult to deliver the same amount of cool air to those areas.
